Be careful when meeting someone new online, either that on facebook, or other social sites, they may not using real identity, faking up their information and profile picture.

One way to check if their account is real or not is from the profile picture, although not 100% full proof this method is still worth to try, here is how.

First prepare the photo / picture, it can be the file, or just the URL to the picture.
Next open tineye.com, and upload the file or just enter the picture URL.
TinEye is a reverse image search engine. It finds out where an image came from, how it is being used, if modified versions of the image exist, or if there is a higher resolution version.
Now wait for the result and see if the profile picture of your “friend” is real or taken from other websites

Alternatively you can use this to check if your photos is used by someone else without your permission.
